
Cibitoke,24 June 2016,Her Excellency Reverend Pastor Denise Nkurunziza, First Lady of the Republic of Burundi visited Cibitoke province which is the sixth province visited since the beginning of the campaign mobilization of women and youth about the wisdom, maternal health, the fight against obstetric fistula and social cohesion. She met more than 700 women leaders at 10:00 a.m. while at 4:00 p.m. She has taught over 500 young people.
The First Lady of the Republic of Burundi recommended women leaders to recognize their responsibilities in the family as an intelligent woman is a crown to her husband: A wise woman has the following characteristics: “She is faithful from neighborhood’s eyes; she does not evil to her husband; she is courageous, strong and fast; she ensures the education of her children and pronounces peaceful words and helps poor”. H.E. Reverend Pasteur Denise Nkurunziza also recommended them to be honest in their job and avoid the divisive spirit.
For young people, the First Lady commended them to respect their parents, to have a vision in their heart to prevent manipulation, to escape the evil and fight against all kinds of adultery.
In the health field, H.E Reverend Pastor Denise Nkurunziza instructed and youth and women leaders to avoid early marriage, do cervical cancer screening and she recommended them to be careful about excessive population increase because it is a hinderance of development.
Among the women leaders who were present in the meeting there were the wives of general soldiers from the province of Cibitoke, Members of parliament and Senators elected in this province, representatives of associations and the local officials.
Women leaders finally did an act of charity to Aline Berahino, a mute who lives at “8e avenue du quartier social” of Cibitoke. Aline Berahino, After submitting her desire to build a school and teach children to multiple disabilities, the First Lady of the Republic of Burundi took the lead by giving her a sum of two million BIF (2 000,000 BIF) and others have followed and promising to contribute to the total sum of six million BIF (6.000.000BIF), 33 bags of cement and 6 bens stones.
