HER EXCELLENCY MADAM DENISE NKURUNZIZA MADE A DISCUSSION WITH THE WOMEN LEADERS AND THE YOUTH OF MUYINGA

Muyinga,August 4,2016, The First Lady of Burundi, Her Excellency Denise Nkurunziza continued her national tour in the province of Muyinga. The latter is the eighth province visited for the mobilization campaign of women and youth on wisdom, reproductive health, the fight against obstetric fistula, HIV AIDS and social cohesion. Hundreds of women leaders (over 600) and young people (more than 500) participated in this interview during the midday and afternoon of the above date.
The First Lady of Burundi recommended women leaders to build their home on base of wisdom because “The wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down”(Proverbe14: 01).
Throughout the discussion, Her Excellency Denise Nkurunziza advised them not to gossip because it destroys social security and encouraged them to watch over the peace by denouncing criminals and malefactors. “An intelligent woman looks after her country security because security is not only for security officers” said the First Lady of Burundi.
Continuing, the First Lady of Burundi indicated that a woman leader should matrimonially be a good example to serve others better.
In the area of health, the Spouse of the Head of State deplored the phenomenon of early marriage which is observed in some provinces, and encouraged them to make cervical cancer screening, and recommended them to do the family planning.
In the meeting with the youth, HE Denise Nkurunziza encouraged young people to have a vision that can guide their lives. She advised them to have a patriotic spirit and respect their parents and the authorities.
