FIRST LADY OF BURUNDI DENISE NKURUNZINZA RECIEVES RECOGNITION FROM NEW YORK STATE SENATE

First Lady, Denise Nkurunzinza


A proclamation was given to the First Lady of Burundi, Denise Nkurunzinza, for her philanthropic organization called the BUNTU Foundation and for the honor and recognition that she received at the United Nations for the Women’s Progress Award for exceeding the millennium development goals for women’s issues. The New York State Senator and Democratic Conference Leader, Andrea Stewart-Cousins gave this prestigious award for her valiant efforts in the Republic of Burundi, with the residents of the 35th District of New York City, and proclaimed this day, Thursday, June 13, 2013, as Madame Denise Nkurunzinza Day.

The First Lady of Burundi is a valiant women for her people and works hard to bring honor and encouragement to the nations she represents. She continues to build her BUNTU Foundation to help those in need of being a part of the society of Burundians.
