THE FIRST LADY OF BURUNDI INVITES THE YOUTH TO GIVE VALUE TO THEIR EXISTENCE AND DO THEIR BEST ON EARTH

During her meeting with 281 youth from the Capitol City of Bujumbura, on the premises of d’Odéon Palace, Her Excellency the First Lady of Burundi, H.E. Denise Nkurunziza, invited Burundian youth to give value to their existence and do their best on earth.

In her teaching, First Lady Nkurunziza reminded participants that they were not created by hazard. “Each person was created for a specific purpose with the ability and capacity to serve his/her nation. Only sin can deprive man from peace and joy. Since our nation needs youth with a highly acceptable moral standard, flee from sin, get exercised into righteousness, and to the best practices of leadership to prepare a happy future for yourselves and your country in general,”

The First Lady of the State concluded her teaching advising the youth to resist any misleading influence of the body and companions in order to invest their strengths, means and time into mutual help, self-help and development activities.

In Washington DC, the Christian Latin Business Association Humanitarian Award was presented to the First Lady of Burundi Africa, Denise Nkurunziza. The award was presented to the First Lady by Alama Vision Television personality, Celina Gonzalez. Celina Gonzalez commented, “We are honored and privileged to present the First Lady of Burundi with this prestigious award for her outstanding work to help the underprivileged of the world and the work she is doing through the BUNTU Foundation to empower women.” The Christian Latin Business Association Humanitarian Award is presented to leading humanitarians globally.

Ambassador Dr. Clyde Rivers said, “The First Lady of Burundi has empowered widows in her country for years. She is a leader that is doing the job of empowering women. The BUNTU Foundation, lead by First Lady Denise Nkurunziza, is in the process of building a city to help the underprivileged in her country.”

BURUNDI FIRST LADY ORDAINED AS A MINISTER OF THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST

In Bujumbura, Burundi Africa on July 2, 2011 Her Excellency, Reverend Denise Nkurunziza Bucumi, was ordained as a Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Rev. Bishop Dr. Arthur Kitonga a Kenyan preacher and renowned leader of the Redeemed Gospel Church officiated.

The pastoral ordination of the First Lady of Burundi is the first of it’s kind in the country and all over the world. The service was held in the gardens of the Royal Palm Resort located on Lake Tanganyika.

Several high-ranking authorities and distinguished guests from abroad were in attendance, including the Queen of Swaziland, Her Royal Highness NOMSA Matsebula. There were clergymen from Tanzania, Rwanda, D.R. Congo, Kenya, South Africa, Sweden and Canada in attendance as well.

Burundi Head of State, H. E. Pierre Nkurunziza, in his congratulatory message to His spouse, expressed His delight to see the First Lady, “Chosen by the Almighty to proclaim the Good News.” President Nkurunziza went on to say, “He would never oppose the mission of the Lord.” He instead urged the First Lady to preach the Word of God to the confines of the earth, as Jesus Christ advised His disciples.

Dr. Clyde Rivers, Honorary Ambassador at Large for the Republic of Burundi said, “This is a great day for the Republic of Burundi, the continent of Africa and the Kingdom of God. This is the new Burundi.”

A proclamation was given to the First Lady of Burundi, Denise Nkurunzinza, for her philanthropic organization called the BUNTU Foundation and for the honor and recognition that she received at the United Nations for the Women’s Progress Award for exceeding the millennium development goals for women’s issues. The New York State Senator and Democratic Conference Leader, Andrea Stewart-Cousins gave this prestigious award for her valiant efforts in the Republic of Burundi, with the residents of the 35th District of New York City, and proclaimed this day, Thursday, June 13, 2013, as Madame Denise Nkurunzinza Day.

The First Lady of Burundi is a valiant women for her people and works hard to bring honor and encouragement to the nations she represents. She continues to build her BUNTU Foundation to help those in need of being a part of the society of Burundians.

The First Lady of the Republic of Burundi Africa, H.E. Denise Nkurunziza teaches the youth of Burundi how to love their country. She told them, “The importance of good governance will cause your children’s children to eat the good of the land. You may not see the great victories but if you honor your nation and live to obey God the nation will prosper.”

Ambassador Clyde Rivers says, “It is a miracle to have a First Lady of a nation not ashamed to teach her faith to the young people of her nation so they may have a great future. She recognizes the value of the youth and that they carry the future of her beloved country.”

It was a monumental day when the First Lady of the Republic of Burundi received recognition at the United Nations in New York for her BUNTU Foundation and service to her country. She received this award for winning the Women’s Progress Award for achieving the millennium development goals for women’s issues in the Republic of Burundi. This Special Congressional Achievement Certificate from the United States of America is a great honor for the First Lady, Denise Nkurunzinza of the Republic of Burundi. Ambassador Clyde Rivers said, “We are very grateful to the United States for this Special Congressional Achievement Certificate honoring the First Lady of Burundi. She is a true champion of her people and all humanity.”

Voice of African Mothers is an organization that has put together an award for the First Ladies of Africa. Voices of African Mothers award recipients are women that have worked hard to reach the millennium development goals for women’s issues within their respective countries. The First Lady of the Republic of Burundi, Denise Nkurunzinza, received this award at the United Nations and was an overwhelming winner of this award because she exceeded the goals set for millennium development for her country.

Her BUNTU Foundation has been a major voice for women in Burundi. Her organization is teaching motherhood, child-rearing and life skills with economic empowerment to the women of her country. Ambassador Clyde Rivers says, “Burundi will always lead the way because of their strong stance for the kingdom of God. It is great to see a country achieve goals to help their people. A big congratulations to the Lady, Denise Nkurunzinza, for achieving the Women’s Progress Award 2013 for her millennium development goals.”
